Core Values

01

A high view of God is fundamental

We were created to enjoy and be satisfied in the sustainer of the universe. We exist for His glory, and humbly yield to His holiness, His majesty and His sovereignty (Isaiah 6:1-5).

02

Christ is the focal point of our ministry. All things are created by Him and for His glory - our church is but a small reflection of the glory of who He is and what He has done for us, best displayed on the Cross (Colossians 1:15-20).

Jesus Christ is central

03

Sola Scriptura - the Scriptures alone, are sufficient and profitable for all teaching, correction and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). We hold to reverent, expository preaching.

Scripture is essential

As followers of Christ, we are called to walk with God in the context of the church body, building intentional relationships with fellow believers for the purpose of stirring one another unto love and obedience (Hebrews 10:19-25).

Discipleship is purposeful

04

We are Christ's ambassadors, heralding the Gospel to peoples abroad as well as those next door, amidst a fallen society, for the glory of God (2 Corinthians 5:16-20).

Evangelism is pivotal

The Good News

What is our purpose in life? How do we try to find fulfillment

The Bible says that we are created by God to rule over his creation and to have a fruitful and satisfying relationship with him. However, since the beginning, we reject God's way in desiring to be our own gods.

Some of us explicitly reject what God calls good and do things that are harmful to us and others. Others of us accept what is right and live an upright life, but commit evil in our hearts. All of us commit sins no matter how hard we strive (Romans 3:10-12). As a consequence of our rejection of him and our sin, we are all under the judgment of God and on the road to eternal suffering (Hebrews 9:27).

The good news is that God loves us and wants to rescue and redeem us from our ways. He sent his son Jesus into the world to die and suffer the consequence on our behalf, and Jesus resurrected so that all who follow him may be restored to eternal life and be fulfilled in the way that God had originally intended (1 Peter 3:18).

Through the work of his son, God calls out to all of us to repent and turn away from our sins, and follow Jesus by accepting his provision for eternal life (Acts 2:37-40; Romans 10:9-10). By accepting God's calling through Jesus, he has made it possible to overcome sins and have a fulfilled outlook for our future (John 13-15Ephesians 2).
