Stephen Chen has been a pastor at the church since 2008. He obtained his M.Div. and Th.M. from The Master's Seminary. His is married to his wife, Shirley, and they have four children. Though passionate about preaching the gospel, and a lover of good biographies, Stephen also finds time for good coffee and watching NBA games.

Oversees Administrations & Missions

Daniel Chan has been a pastor at the church since 2011. He met his wife Kelly at UCLA where Daniel earned a degree in Business-Economics. After graduation, Daniel worked for several years in the finance and accounting industry before earning his M.Div. from The Master's Seminary. Daniel is a UCLA sports fan and loves to play basketball, golf, and read, but his greatest passions are spending time with his wife and three children, teaching God's Word, and serving His people.

Oversees Student Ministries & Local Outreach

Ryan Choy joined the pastoral staff full time in 2021. Ryan is Canadian, hailing from Toronto! He is married to Eleanor and together they have two children. Ryan has an undergraduate degree from York University where he studied music (jazz drums). He also has an M.Div. from Toronto Baptist Seminary. Ryan is passionate about his family, teaching the Bible, and the drums!

Oversees Counseling & Small Groups

Brian Chang joined our staff full-time in 2025. He is a native of the Bay Area, with a B.S. (civil engineering) from UCLA and a M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary. He is married to Laura, and they have four children.

LAY ELDER

Oversees Finance

Andrew Ho has been attending Redeemer since 2015 and has served as a lay elder since 2021. He and his wife Tiffany met at UCLA where they were a part of Grace On Campus. Andrew then obtained his M.D. at UCSD followed by internal medicine residency at Cedars Sinai and gastroenterology fellowship at UCLA. When not working as a gastroenterologist, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family, serving at church, watching Warriors, 49ers, or A's games and trying new restaurants.

LAY ELDER

Oversees Music

Albert Liu started attending Redeemer in 2016 and began serving as a lay elder in 2024. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord, Savior, and treasure in high school after moving to the Bay Area from Taiwan. He met his beloved wife Vicky in college fellowship at UCLA, and they are now thankful parents of four daughters. Albert currently works as an engineering manager at Apple, and he enjoys playing basketball, singing and playing music with his family, and all things mango.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Vera Nieh serves as an administrative assistant to the pastoral staff and helps with church finances and logistics.
