English Corner — Mountain View
English Corner is a welcoming community of friends who meet to practice speaking English and make friends along the way! We meet most Thursday nights from 7-9 PM at 920 Sierra Vista Ave, Mountain View, and sometimes on Saturdays instead for special events. Our team of volunteers prepares a different topic each week, so there is always interesting conversation and a chance to practice expressing yourself about a range of topics. Monthly special events including holiday celebrations, outdoor activities, and potluck dinners. Our meetings are open to all and free of charge.

What does a typical English Corner meeting look like?
7:00 PM: We get to know each other through casual conversation over snacks.
7:30 PM: The whole group does an icebreaker activity together. This could be a game, skit, debate, or show and tell.
8:00 PM: We break into smaller groups and learn some vocabulary, then discuss questions related to the topic.
What other activities does English Corner do together?
We have a lot of fun together! We have done hikes, Thanksgiving dinner, pumpkin carving for Halloween, pickleball, Christmas gift exchange, beach trips, and more. See some photos below.
